A WOMAN IN FULL.

*Fashion Spread Spotlight*

This fall, many designers focused on creating sihouettes that were flattering for a curvier frame and/or created a fuller, more "womanly" shape (which I am excited about, being a curvier woman myself!). A vision that was once mainstream in the dress of women in the 50's. The 50's style of dress was tailored and very "lady-like". Lots of dresses and feminine accessories. This fashion spread hones in on what I would refer to as a vintage revival of sorts... Integrating older silhouettes that shape and mold to a woman's curves and yet still utilizing modern textiles and design technique. I love the idea of mixing a little new with a lot of the old - as I am sure my fellow DAMES can appreciate. So this fashion spread goes out to all the DAMES proud of their curves and most of all proud to be a Woman... in Full ;)

V Magazine :
"This year we started to notice a slight rise of healthier looking models and even plus size models. Designers like Prada, Mark Fast, Chanel and Louis Vuitton used curvier models for their runway shows. V published their plus size issue earlier this year. Several magazines also started using healthier models, some even photoshopping the model to look bigger. “A Woman In Full” is an editorial where V magazine celebrates a more mature and healthy looking woman. Photographed by Willy Vanderperre, models Adriana Lima, Lindsey Wixson, Karolina Kurkova, Miranda Kerr, Rianne Ten Haken, Natasha Poly, Kasia Struss, Izabel Goulart, Jacquelyn Jablonski, and Mariacarla Boscono shows off their inner 50’s seductive housewife with help from stylist Olivier Rizzo. "

Adriana Lima - one of my Favorite models! She is so incredibly sexy... such a DAME chic!
